Filmmaker's Journey :: Life After My First Short Film

Yesss!

by Sabina Shamdasani on 09/17/10

It worked!!  I'm officially a blogger!

I've been shying away from being a blogger...because, I'm a filmmaker.  And I guess because I've never done it before...

My friend Ben just played the piano for me.  I've known Ben for about 9 months...he's been working with me on getting 'Dada Ji' up online and out to you, the audience.  Ben told me a few days ago that he plays piano, he hasn't played in years...emphasis on years.  And after some conversation, I found out he's really really shy about playing his piano...he said nobody in LA even knows he plays music, not even his housemates.

So I was thinking...if we're going to try to inspire young kids to pursue their dreams by putting 'Dada Ji' out there, then Ben has to get over being shy and play his piano.  He brought his entire set up to the office today, and he spent a good 20 minutes explaining his computer and keyboard and mixer, and mic, etc...but then he played.  And now...

He's whistling!

So if we're going to get 'Dada Ji' out to the public and try to inspire people, then Ben has to play his piano...and I have to blog.

See ya next time!

Don't....wait...Do try this at home!

My first blog post entry...ever.  Since I'm not quite sure of what I'm doing yet, I figure this is a good time to stop and test it out.

So..um...this is a test of my blogging ability.  This is only...a test.

Bringing Cinema 2 Kids
ONE FILMMAKER'S MISSION TO INSPIRE...

My name is Sabina Shamdasani.  I am an independent filmmaker, and I can say that today because I've had the encouragement and support of others to help push me towards my dream of making movies.  I'm thankful for that, and so....I'm giving back.  Over the next year, I plan to host screenings, Q&A's, and donate copies of my short film 'Dada Ji' in an effort to inspire the next generation to pursue their dreams.  You can read all about my adventures on my blog below.

Oh, and if you'd like to help me keep this going, you can download 'Dada Ji' for $0.99 or purchase the DVD for only $9.99.  Thank you in advance for your help!
